Mobile ventilation systems for tactical and military use
The BlowHard Squirt combines extreme compactness with exceptionally high performance. Despite its very small design, it generates a powerful, controlled airflow, making it ideal for demanding tactical applications. Thanks to its low weight and compact dimensions, the BlowHard Squirt is easy to carry, quick to deploy, and can be stored in a space-saving manner—even in smaller emergency vehicles or limited storage spaces. The long, purely battery-powered runtime enables self-sufficient operation without external energy sources, making the BlowHard Squirt a reliable tool for mobile, flexible, and time-critical applications.
The BlowHard SQUIRT is a compact, battery-powered high-performance fan designed for demanding situations. Its particular strength lies in the combination of its extremely small design, very high air output, and long, self-sufficient runtime. This makes the system suitable for military and tactical applications where mobility, precision, and immediate availability are crucial.

Note: The BlowHard Squirt is available in red as standard. On request, it can also be customized/painted in a special color by Vogt-CTE for orders of 50 units or more.
Application 1: Ventilation of tunnels, bunkers, and underground systems
Operating environment and initial situation
Military operations in urban, underground, and built-up areas—such as tunnels, bunkers, caverns, or cave systems—place special demands on people and technology. These structures often lack any natural air circulation. Harmful gases, smoke, dust, pyrotechnic residues, and a decreasing oxygen content can accumulate to dangerous levels within a short time. Prolonged exposure to such conditions leads to massive restrictions on operational capability and poses an acute health risk to the forces deployed.
Problem
The following risks, among others, can arise in underground spaces:
Without immediate technical measures, life-threatening situations arise, operations are delayed, and the endurance of the troops is significantly reduced.
Solution with BlowHard SQUIRT
The BlowHard SQUIRT enables targeted, powerful airflow in narrow and winding structures. Its high air throughput of several thousand cubic meters per hour allows contaminated air to be effectively displaced and fresh air to be introduced into the operational area.
Its compact design allows it to be positioned directly at the entrance or within the system. The directed air flow can be precisely guided over distances, making it particularly suitable for branched tunnels, shelters, or underground passageways.
Tactical benefits
Application 2: Cooling of braking systems during military short landings
Operating environment and initial situation
Tactical short landings by military aircraft on improvised or short runways are associated with extreme thermal loads. Particularly in the case of transport aircraft and jets with high mass, considerable heat peaks occur at the landing gear brakes during braking.
These stresses are exacerbated by multiple landings under combat conditions or with limited infrastructure.
Problem
Overheated braking systems lead to:
Without technical cooling measures, the operational readiness of aircraft can be significantly reduced.
Solution with BlowHard SQUIRT
BlowHard SQUIRT can be used for targeted technical cooling of overheated landing gear and brake systems. The powerful, directed airflow significantly accelerates the cooling of thermally stressed components.
Battery-powered operation means that the system is independent of external power supplies and can be used immediately after landing – even at remote or temporary airfields.
Tactical benefits
The BlowHard SQUIRT was originally developed for firefighting and rescue operations, but offers particular advantages in a military context:
The targeted air flow displaces harmful gases, supplies fresh air, and at the same time enables effective cooling of overheated technical components.
Design, mobility, and performance data
With dimensions of only 451 × 460 × 267 millimeters, the BlowHard SQUIRT can be easily used in confined spaces, such as technical rooms, transport containers, underground facilities, or winding installations. It can also be transported in smaller vehicles without any restrictions.
The operating weight of only 17.7 kilograms, including the battery, allows it to be transported and operated by a single emergency responder – even when wearing personal protective equipment or respiratory protection.
Despite its compact design, the BlowHard SQUIRT delivers an air flow rate of up to 11,200 CFM (approx. 19,000 m³/h). This performance enables effective displacement of smoke, gases, and contaminated air even in medium to large rooms.
Advanced military-tactical applications
In addition to its core applications, there are other areas of use:
Cost-effectiveness and total cost of ownership
The BlowHard SQUIRT offers a clear economic advantage:
The low procurement and operating costs are very favorable in relation to the reduction in downtime, consequential damage, and repair costs.
Safety and use by qualified personnel
The BlowHard SQUIRT may only be used by qualified and appropriately trained personnel. This applies in particular to use in confined, contaminated, or potentially explosive areas.
The assessment of whether and how a non-EX-certified device may be used in the vicinity of explosive atmospheres must be carried out by qualified specialists. Relevant regulations such as ATEX, TRGS, or DGUV rules must be strictly observed.
The BlowHard SQUIRT is a tactical force amplifier for modern armed forces. Underground, it ensures breathing air; on the airfield, it protects material and time. Its strength lies in its immediate effect with minimal logistical burden—wherever control over air and temperature determines success or failure.
